Vention Raises $110M to Scale Physical AI and Bridge the Global Automation Gap

January 28, 2026 | Vention Official

Vention’s  mission has always been to simplify industrial automation. It started with a simple belief: that designing and building industrial machines shouldn’t be a complex, fragmented process reserved for a few specialists. It should be intuitive, fast, and accessible to every manufacturer.

Today, we are thrilled to announce a major milestone in that journey:  Vention has raised $110M USD ($150M CAD) in new financing.
This round includes participation from Investissement Québec, Desjardins Capital, Fidelity Investments Canada ULC, NVentures (NVIDIA’s venture capital arm), and other financial institutions. More than just capital, this investment represents a shared conviction that the world of manufacturing is at a turning point, and that Physical AI is the key to unlocking its future.

Why Now? The Rise of Physical AI

Physical AI

For decades, traditional automation has been “hard-coded”, which led to slow deployment, expensive integration, and rigidity once installed. As global economies shift toward reshoring and domestic production, the old way of automating simply can’t keep up.
We believe the answer lies in Physical AI.

By bringing generative AI into the physical world, we are able to scale the paradigm we introduced at our last Demo Day: Zero-Shot Automation™. This is the end of the “integration tax,” meaning automation that no longer requires months of custom coding or specialized expertise. Instead, machines are designed, programmed, and deployed seamlessly, operating correctly on the very first attempt.

To bridge the global automation gap, we need to eliminate the complexity that causes, amongst other reasons, 60% of manufacturers to delay their investments, as seen in the recent Industry Week X Vention report. With this new funding, we are doubling down on Physical AI to make “getting it right the first time” the industry standard, not the exception.

What This Means for the Vention Community

If you’ve visited Vention.com recently, you’ve already seen the first ripples of this evolution. Since Demo Day 2025, we’ve launched AI-powered configuration tools, robotic programming copilots, and platform-based advancements that turn project timelines from months into days.
This new funding allows us to go even deeper:

  • Accelerating Physical AI Research: We are doubling down on our R&D to make robots smarter, more perceptive, and easier to command.
  • Expanding our Library: Expect a massive expansion in our portfolio of modular hardware and pre-engineered applications.
  • Global Scaling: We are growing our footprint to better support our community of 4,000+ factories and the Enterprise teams that have made Vention their global standard in both North America and Europe

What excites us most isn’t the number on the headline; it’s the shift we are seeing in how the teams we support are working. Advanced Manufacturing Teams (AMTs) use Vention as their “automation backbone”, designing a solution in one country and deploying it across ten others using the same unified software, hardware, and physical AI environment.
Whether you are a small shop deploying your first cobot or a global enterprise standardizing your entire production line, this funding is an investment in the tools built for you.

Looking Ahead

As Vention Founder and CEO Etienne Lacroix says:

“Manufacturers want automation that works as intuitively as modern software. By removing complexity from the deployment cycle with platform-based automation, we’re helping companies scale production faster than ever before.”

We are closer to that reality than ever before. To our customers, partners, and the entire Vention community: thank you for being part of this journey. We are honored to be building the future of manufacturing alongside you.
