To advance the democratization of industrial automation, we continuously release new products and enhance existing ones. In Q2 2024, we made a significant leap forward in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven cloud robotics software capabilities, with more releases to come in the upcoming quarters.

Announcements 

NVIDIA Partnership

At Computex 2024, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang unveiled an exciting collaboration between NVIDIA and Vention, aimed at democratizing industrial automation for small and medium-sized manufacturers. This partnership leverages NVIDIA’s cutting-edge AI and accelerated computing technologies and Vention’s cloud-based Manufacturing Automation Platform (MAP).

Demo Day 2024

The date for Demo Day 2024 was officially announced. This year’s event will be held on September 10, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chicago Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. The theme, “Artificial Intelligence. Real Manufacturing Work,” gives you insight into the innovative, yet accessible products to be announced during the event.

Demo Day for EMEA-based (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) clients will be held on September 18, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Vention GmbH, Karl-Marx-Allee 3.

The 2024 State of DIY Industrial Automation Report

During Automate 2024, Vention released its second-annual State of DIY Industrial Automation Report. This report is a culmination of one year of data gathered from the adoption and usage of the Manufacturing Automation Platform (MAP) in 2023. MachineLogic Simulation

MachineLogic is now even more intuitive, with simplified robot arm programming and seamless integration with adjacent devices in a robot cell. Learn more about these new enhancements: 

  • Point and click robot programming: Easily insert waypoints and reference frames into a digital twin to visualize the position of reference frames and waypoints in the scene using new scene widgets.
  • Extensible workflows and powerful authoring capabilities: Define parametric reference frames and waypoints with variables and expressions.
  • Calibration Frame: Define calibration frames in your digital twin to enable the level of precision required for your robotic application.

By leveraging near-accurate digital twins, users can easily program in the cloud and deploy to the factory floor, accelerating the deployment process and reducing risks.
