NVIDIA GTC 2025 once again proved to be the premier AI thought leadership event of the year, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and technology enthusiasts. This year, Vention took center stage with its groundbreaking AI-powered Bin Picking solution - featured in the keynote address by NVIDIA CEO Jenson Huang.
From new AI-powered solutions to the GTC session featuring Vention CEO, catch up on the highlights of the show in the short video below.
The AI Breakthrough in Bin Picking at the Centerpiece of Vention’s GTC Presence
The highlight of the show was Vention’s new AI-driven Bin Picking solution, powered by NVIDIA Jetson and AI vision technology. This solution simplifies automation for manufacturers dealing with labor shortages and supply chain changes—no complex programming or manual intervention needed.
For decades, picking unstructured parts from a bin has been a challenging automation task. Whether feeding a CNC machine or another process, this task has traditionally required human workers due to the unpredictable nature of the bin’s contents. With the introduction of AI vision technology, Vention developed a bin picking solution allowing robots to scan, detect, and adapt in real time. The result is a smarter, more autonomous system that reduces labor costs and increases efficiency.
Live demonstrations of the new solution at Vention’s booth featuring the ABB GoFa™ 5 robot and MachineMotion AI drew significant interest, with attendees witnessing firsthand how AI can seamlessly handle complex bin-picking tasks.
The plug-and-play integration capabilities, combined with the AI-driven decision-making process, showcased a future where automation is more accessible and efficient.
Key Features of AI-Powered Bin Picking
- From CAD to Pick in Minutes: No complex programming needed—The AI vision system picks unstructured parts based on a CAD model.
- AI-Powered Decision-Making: Built on NVIDIA AI models, the system adapts to changing environments, enabling faster, more accurate bin picking.
- Plug-and-Play Integration: MachineMotion AI integrates with leading robot brands and the largest ecosystem of plug-and-play components.
Next Generation MachineMotion AI
Vention’s next-generation MachineMotion AI also drew significant interest at the GTC. Attendees explored its ability to integrate vision processing, motion control, and robotic automation into a single, compact unit. Designed for high performance and future-ready automation, MachineMotion AI is the simplest way to automate your factory floor, with applications such as machine tending, welding, palletizing, sanding, and more.
Key Features
- One Controller for All your Devices: Simplify your setup with plug-and-pay integration across leading robot brands, conveyors, motors and safety devices.
- Drive Up to 30 Daisy-Chained Motors: With 3000W of power, MachineMotion AI supports up to 30 motors with EtherCAP, providing low-latency, high-precision control.
- Ready for AI-Driven robotics: Powered by NVIDIA Jetson, MachineMotion AI simplifies robotics applications by integrating vision processing and motion control into a single unit.
AI-Powered Robotics Lightning Talk Session
Beyond launches, GTC is undoubtedly the destination for the most important conversations about AI and its real world applications. This year, Vention’s CEO, Etienne Lacroix, shared his thoughts about ‘4 unlocks necessary to bring mass adoption of automation and robotics to manufacturing’ in an insightful session at the GTC.
Here’s what’s changing for manufacturing
- Shift from project-based to product-based automation - Similar to how SaaS revolutionized IT
- Digital Twins - Virtual validation, eliminating the need for physical
- Open, Accessible Industrial Data - Not locked away in PLCs and closed controllers, where they can’t be used to optimize or scale
- Sub1 Year ROI - Automation that’s affordable and makes financial sense
